Briana E. Chua

Practice and Experience

Briana is a Certified Specialist in Workers’ Compensation by the State Bar of Arizona and is licensed to practice law both in Arizona and California.  She has represented injured workers exclusively before the Industrial Commission of Arizona and the Arizona Court of Appeals since 2004.  Before co-forming Arizona Injury Law Group, PLLC, Briana was a member attorney at Taylor & Associates, PLLC. 

Awards and Involvement

Briana has an AV Preeminent peer review rating from Martindale-Hubbell. She currently serves the Vice Chair of the State Bar of Arizona’s Board of Legal Specialists Workers’ Compensation Advisory Commission and is on the Arizona Association of Lawyers for Injured Workers (AALIW) Board of Directors (Past President 2016-2018). She previously served as the Co-Chair of the Workers’ Compensation CLE Committee (2011-2012) and contributed to a revised version of the Workers’ Compensation Handbook. Briana is a member the Maricopa County Bar Association (MCBA), Arizona Asian American Bar Association (AAABA) (Past President, 2011-2012), National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA) and the Animal Law Section of the State Bar of Arizona.

Education

Briana graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Science in Speech and a Concentration in Business in 2000. She continued her education at the Arizona State University College of Law graduating early in 2002. During law school, Briana received honors in Legal Methods and Writing and served as an articles editor for the Arizona State University Law Journal. She also completed an externship with the Chief Judge Stephen M. McNamee at the United States District Court District of Arizona.

Interests

Briana was born and raised in the East Coast outside Philadelphia. A child of immigrants, she was instilled with the value of hard work and education. She has made it her life’s passion to help clients who work hard and deserve to be compensated. She plays piano and is a classically trained singer. She has traveled extensively, primarily through Asia and Europe and enjoys cooking and spending time with her husband, 2 children, cats, and dog.
